The VTS Transition Curriculum is a tool to improve the soft skills needed in today’s work setting. VTS started research with the goal of producing a curriculum that meets the needs of schools, adult work facilities, and the independent work place. Soft skills are a concern for employers. Some important soft skills to emphasize are problem-solving, the ability to start work independently, to stay on task, to fi nish properly, to understand work rewards, to accept change, and to restart independently.
The VTS Transition Curriculum provides the tools to challenge and improve these skills. VTSTM Transition Curriculum is a great way for teachers and staff to teach students hands-on. The ability to change the schedule, manipulate the work and reward good work gives the teachers and staff the ability to challenge.
The VTS Daily Schedule Board is the center piece of the curriculum. This allows students to see the work assigned for the day so they can learn to start work independently. After completion and grading of their work, the student continues with the next scheduled work task. We have the ability to customize each curriculum we sell with the school’s name, adding identifi ers to names, and special order cards.

Multi-Level Work Tasks - Level 2, 3, 4, and 5 can change with the ability of the individual. This encourages success and increases advancement by adding to a familiar job. Also, it instills the ability to accept change and develop problem solving skills.
Daily Log - tracks progress of each individual and aids in assessing trends, providing a hard copy.
VTS Daily Schedule Board - a customized schedule, includes names, schedule cards and numbers. Work Rewards - payment or points the student can earn for work tasks completed. Each Work Task has a slip so the individual sees the value of their efforts. The Daily Log tracks the balance.
